Cloudy Magnolia Berries
Mike and I wake up every morning and make coffee to put in our little to-go cups and we go for a walk. Usually around the neighborhood... exactly 1.5 miles. We use this time as our little mini-morning-date bonding time. Not only do we get a little bit of exercise, but we get to talk about how to spend the day be it working on etsy stuff, personal branding, this little blog, or daily adventures. Some people don't realize just how much work goes into running a blog that you update daily! I'm still amazed that there are some people out there that just never miss a beat! Anywhoo- yesterday we did our normal walk and then I just felt sort of "off" all day. No specific reason, but I just wasn't me. So we headed over to the park and walked 2 more miles. Something about walking outdoors really clears my head. I was in a much better mood afterwards. I also wear my trusty black flats when I walk. I hate tennis shoes and they didn't really go with what I was wearing (vain, I know!) so once they started irritating my feet (which has never happened!) I grabbed a pair of Mike's socks and cut them up to fit my flats perfectly. He was a bit appalled but they worked like a charm!
I pulled this Charlotte Russe dress from my closet and I knew I had only worn it once. This time last year to be exact! Something about it made me shy away.. Maybe the overly ruffled bust or something... but I'm glad I wore it today! I paired it with my navy tights courtesy of We Love Colors, and my favorite black wedges from Dolce Vita x Target. The belt is a cheap thrift find that is literally falling apart. I couldn't find my black cardigan so I opted for this blue floral embroidered Forever 21 number. I'm glad I did because I felt like it was a little unexpected, too. The giant flower fascinator is from Forever 21 ages ago I believe!
Today has been rather gloomy. No rain or anything. The temperature is nice, but I'd like some sunshine! Tonight will be spent working on blog designs for Theresa and Somer! Hopefully I can wrap those up while Mike is at class! I also need to wash my hair! Yikes!
Tomorrow we're going to try our hands at a homemade Tomato soup recipe! There's no fresh basil to be found in this town so my craving will have to wait until tomorrow! I'll be sure to share if it turns out worth anything!
* Outfit title by Mike... as always.
