Sunday Funday Begins!

I feel like going to work last night was a bad call. I made a ton of money because we were sooo slammed, but I was coughing harder than ever before. At one point I became so lightheaded I was sure that I was about to pass out. I'm not sure how I made it through the night but I'm glad I did. The smoke definitely did not help. With the time change, I came slinking into the house at 4am... ugh. We crawled in bed and I was out like a light. I woke up a million and seven times during the course of the morning and I got one heck of a sore throat to show for it. The headache is back and I'm hoping to hold it off just a little while.

Mike and Georgia are still cuddled up in bed. I've been up for about an hour now but G is just snoring away, with her tongue stuck out and all. I'm making a fresh pot of coffee and I'm about to wake him up. It looks like rain so I'm not sure if we'll get to ride our bikes down at my parents' house today or not but hopefully we still take them. We're going to stay the night with my folks and then at some point tomorrow we'll head over to Mike's parents' in Lawrenceburg. So if you're in good ol' Hohenwald and Lawrenceburg, come ride bikes with us! (Georgia will be there, too!)

I'm ready for some relaxation.

Alright, off I go to wake these two snoozin' Suzies! Have a marvelous Sunday, y'all!

Oh, It's Monday (& a weekend recap...)

I guess my little hiatus from the internet gets some of you in a whirl haha Sometimes I like to slip away for a couple of days, take a breather, just enjoy "real life", and keep things private at times. But I'm flattered that some of you come to my formspring, expressed your concern that I might leave you. (This is my promise... I won't leave you!) But let me update you on things...

Work was rather slow all weekend. It was pretty boring but I spoke to everyone at work to get clearance for the BME internship if I'm chosen as one of the lucky few to take on such a task. They gave me all the clearance I need (it helps to have influence, yes?) and I'm going to make my video and keep my fingers, toes, eyes and ears crossed!

Here's a silly photo from me at work. I was contemplating whether or not to get dimple piercings (I really want them) but the vote seems divided. Some say yes, some say no. I'm completely and totally clueless.. Granted it is 100% MY decision, and body modification isn't about who looks "prettiest" or anything, but I don't want to go just pierce myself with no regard to anything. That probably doesn't make much sense. Hullabaloo!

Sunday Funday was a day of driving. Mike and I woke up, loaded Georgia into the car and headed an hour and a half south to my parent's house. We hung out, visited with my Nana, got stuck at the mexican restaurant for way too long, and then we played with my parent's pups. We set out for HIS parent's house down in Lawrenceburg (35 minutes south of my parents') and we visited with them for a little while. It was nice to be able to see both of our families in one day. We're not too terribly far from them but you'd be amazed how much just an hour and a half can keep you from people. We came back home and made dinner, took a hot bath and settled into bed.

Here are a few photos of Georgia in the car last night. I realize they're mostly redundant but gosh she's just the most precious thing!

Mike had to wake up super early this morning (7 is super early to us) and head up to his bike shop in West End. Work things out with his new schedule and he came back home before I had to go to class. We ran errands and paid all of our bills before he dropped me off at school. I went to Print 2 today and we brainstormed and had a "SWOT" meeting. After that, he picked me up, we hung around at home, went grocery shopping and played a wholllleee heck of a lot of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3! Man I love that game!

Now we're just hanging out before bed.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who went out of their way to show support to not only myself, but to other applicants, at the BME ModBlog this week. I'm happy to report that I am one of 10 finalists now! There was another cut and the final 10 have to compose a video for the last round. The videos have to be in by Thursday and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't holding out a little because I just want to make sure that my stuff is quality work. I don't want to jump the gun, make something only mediocre, and then send it in just so I can be one of the first few. If this is going to be the determining factor, I want to put 150% into it. :)

Welp, sorry I left you guys hanging for a few days! I'm all caught up on reading my dashboard and everyone's lovely posts. So if you're a new follower or a follower with a blog that I'm not following, please leave a comment below so I can check out your stuff! Introduce yourselves! If we're gonna be blog buddies, we might as well get to know each other!

PS; Don't forget to enter my giveaway in the post below! :D

Sunday Funday

So I give you our Sunday Funday...

For starters, a drunk lady spilled a drink alllll over both my sidekick AND my iphone this weekend at work... yep, you heard right. I was able to salvage my iphone (praise!) but my sidekick refused to open properly and all of my buttons stuck. So I took it upon myself to trek over to T-Mobile and get a new Sidekick. Yeah... my contract was supposed to be up in July, but I needed a phone now so now T-Mobile has me yet again until July 2012. Poor poor me. At least my phone is cool. I bought the 2009 Chrome LX. It's nice. So long, little Brown! I really loved you!

Yesterday Mike and I started the day by cleaning out our cars! Oh joy! Mine needed it SOOO SO bad! I need to have it detailed but maybe later haha We found so much random crap in my trunk! And about 15 coffee mugs in Mike's car. No lie.

Here's my little baby Delilah... and there's AJ's car in the background.

Georgia jumped up in the drivers seat and just hung out for a while. She had her paw up on the console. So cute! She was ~just chillin.

And then she turned into a ladybug...

Mike had the brilliant idea of taking photos of all the crap we found in my trunk and listing it as a legit ~outfit. So here you go... if you ever wondered what fit in my tiny tiny trunk (not that I think you ever would), now you know!

Tacky Sunday's Outfit Details:
Sweater: Goodwill
Star Wars shirt: Vintage
Red Dress: Forever 21
White scarf: Target?
Ladybug wings: Halloween 2008
Umbrella: No clue
(You can't see, but I'm DEF wearing brown crocs, too! EW! They went straight into the trash can. I have no clue why they were in my car...)

STYLIN!

Then we went grocery shopping and went for a nice drive. We drove around Brentwood with the top down on my car (I think Mike likes to drive my car with the top down because the Chanel sticker doesnt show on my back window hahaha) We stopped by this old building for a few ~outfit photos. I look a bit haggard because my hair was a mess and I didn't much feel like photos. :) But we've found a new spot for photos so maybe we'll go back soon!

Sunday's Outift Details:
Dress: I have no clue... in my closet from 3+ years ago.
Cardigan: Charlotte Russe ($25)
Tights:
Walmart ($10)
Flats: Charlotte Russe ($22)
Headband: Charlotte Russe ($7)

oh... and then Georgia decided to go play in the muddy creek bed behind our house.. yep.. that happened. This dog LOVES water and mud and anything she can splash around in. She was having such a ball! I took so many photos and Mike even posted some at his blog. You can see the rest on My Flickr.

Speaking of Mike's blog... I made him a header and a blog button last night so pop on over, say hello, follow him if you'd like, and maybe spread the Miike-word by putting his button on your page? He'd be happy to return the favor!

Alright y'all! I gotta head to Print 2 class! Off I go!

Have a Merry Monday!

Sunday Funday

In usual Sunday Funday fashion, I slept in. Way In. WAY WAY IN. Mike set an alarm for 9:30am so he could get up and shower and get ready to meet his dad at his house in Nashville to do some stuff and I woke up with a migraine once more. I decided to just sleep it off instead of getting up when he did. I VERY well could have managed to get out of bed at 9:30am... We fell asleep at about 4am probably after I came in from work. (Work last night was slow, but overall it was a very successful weekend.) I think I managed to crawl from under the sheets that I was entangled with Georgia in (She was snoring in all her glory!) at 12:45. eep! TOO much sleep, KB! I started the day by getting dressed and taking care of some things. I was going to head to Panera to work on things but Mike informed me that he was on his way home so I just hung out. I cleaned the room, made the bed, vacuumed, etc. Mike's dad brought our bikes to the house! I AM SO EXCITED! Mike is going to take mine apart and we're going to paint it! It's a beautiful vintage cruiser (It's a men's cruiser, but whatever!) AND IT HAS A BASKET IN THE FRONT! EEP! I think we're going to paint it either a beige creme color or pale yellow! We decided to head over to Panera for some soup and a sandwich as we contemplated whether to drive down to visit my parents. (We decided to go another day.) We shot some outfit photos at the abandoned house next door and then headed over there.

Sunday's Outfit Details:
Dress: Forever 21 ($30)
Cardigan: Forever 21 ($30)
Belt: I have no clue
Tights: Target ($7)
Bootie Heels:
Charlotte Russe ($35)
Headband: Charlotte Russe ($7)
Purse: Forever 21 ($25)

We headed to Panera and ate, then ventured out to Best Buy, Ross (where I got some goodies!), and eventually WalMart. Always running errands!

At Ross', we picked up these fabbbbbulousss pastel mixing bowls, appetizer plates, AND condiment bowls! oh my stars I was in heaven when I saw them! So dreamy, so fifties, so ME! Mike arranged the bowls on the plates for the photo. He's so silly! I cannot wait to plan my entire kitchen around these! Yes, you heard me... around silly little kitchenware found at Ross! WIN!

I also snagged these ADORABLE bow black flats! With a price tag of a whopping $11.99! kjas;ldj;lsadf This made me so happy. Georgia always manages to eat my black flats! I love the ones I bought at Charlotte Russe the other day but I like shinier flats, too! And I LOVE bows! you all know this though! Can't wait to wear them tomorrow!

Lots of people keep asking for photos of Mike's new nose ring. I kind of got him on candid camera a few minutes ago as he was cooking us dinner! Oh, and these are his new glasses, too!

I know I blogged last night about getting a call back for the Gwyneth Paltrow/Tim McGraw/Leighton Meester movie on Valentine's Day, but I think I've since decided NOT to do it... but hear me out! It's Valentine's Day [my FAVORITE holiday EVER!], and it's Mike and I's first Valentines Day together... but even better than that.... I THINK WE'RE GOING TO GO TO THE RIPLEY'S AQUARIUM IN GATLINBURG! Y'all know I'm SO obsessed with Sharks and Octopus! Well... THEY HAVE THEM! YUSSSS! I'm such a nerd for marine life and it's something we really want to do together. I think we'd also go to the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum as well as the Guinness Book of World Records Museum. We'd probably stay the night if we could find a cheap little hotel/motel or something and then come back on Monday. It'd be a fun little 4 hour drive each way and we could make playlists and take our Mino FlipCam and I just like the sweet little romance involved. But there are always other opportunities with the film. This isn't the last casting so we'll see! Here's some lovely jellyfish photos to put you in the mood!

Mike is slaving over the stove right now. He made yummy veggie stirfry and brown rice. He set the table and lit candles, too! I was going to go get him a bottle of wine (and sparking cider or grape juice for me!) but the liquor store was closed... we settled for cream soda instead! :D

We sold the 2 couches and coffee table set in the living room tonight! Some fellas who relocated from India to work for Nissan (which now calls Franklin, TN home) came by and paid half down and is going to pay the rest when they come pick them up this week. $200 is very nice to come by seeing as I'm saving every penny possible for NYC in May. They may even take our huge big screen tv and entertainment center. We were asking $500 but I told them I'd ship it off with them for $400 haha I just want it gone! I hope my roommates don't mind =/ We don't have cable and no one uses the living room anyway... I cleared it with Bryan.. but its not like it really matters. No one uses it and it's all mine. I Dont want to have to rush to get rid of it come December. :)

Tomorrow I have to head up to Nashville for a little field trip to a screenprinter for our Print 2 class. Should be fun. Then we're going to clean clean clean as our new couch will be here Tuesday morning. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!

Okay... enough of a long friggin blog post. I shall end it here. I think we're going to go watch Daria: Is It College Yet? after dinner! Yay!

Hope you all have a fantastic start to your week!
xo

Edit: oh my stars! As if cooking wasn't enough, Mike set the mood with pure candlelight and pulled out my chair for me and everything! So dreamy! And I'm clad in a UTC hoodie, pajama pants AND I HAVE A TOWEL ON MY HEAD BC I JUST TOOK A SHOWER! oh my! hahaha He's the epitome of the perfect boyfriend. Hands down. I feel so incredibly blessed to share my life with him :) Okay, end mushy gushy moment! Sorry!

Sunday Funday!

Another Sunday Funday almost down the hatch. Mike and I are sitting at Panera down on Columbia Avenue. We came so we could get some yummy Black Bean Soup (Vegan Mediterranean Sandwich for him!), so I could blog, and so I could listen to Love & Sequins #7 by the lovely Gala Darling (which I'm currently doing) as it's been sitting in my inbox for a few weeks now. I spent New Years Day just hanging out with Mike and we slept in until 2pm (holy cannoli!). Afterwards we came to Panera so I could reply to emails and blog and yadda yadda yadda (see a pattern?). We stayed for a couple hours and then headed over to the mall so I could buy the American Rag dress I really liked a few weeks ago. We managed to pop into a few stores before they closed at 6pm and here is what I walked away with:

American Rag dress: Macy's $45

Quilted Pink & Black Bow Clutch (with a chain strap!): For Love 21 $18

White Acrylic Bow Ring: For Love 21 $4? $5? idk.

Peachy Pink Satin Bow Headband: For Love 21 $6?

This is also what I wore to work Saturday night (sans pink headband).

Outfit Details:
Black Ruffle Shirt: Forever 21 $25
Grey Cardigan: Wet Seal $20
Jeans: Charlotte Russe $30
Charm Bracelet: Juicy Couture $investment (haha, see what i did there?) :P

Work on Saturday night was HORRIBLE! when I say horrible, I mean i sat on my iPhone all night, playing 6 different games of Scrabble (or Words With Friends, sorry!) simultaneously. The bar was SO SO SO dead. I'm not even sure why we were open. I made less than 1/4 of what I did the night before. Luckily I was cut a little early (first time in history!) so I was able to high tail it home and crawl into bed.

(Mike is a little butthurt that I crushed him ;P but I'll admit... my fantastic friend Merissa definitely ANNIHILATED me yesterday! she's WAY too good at this game!)

We woke up on Sunday and tried to drag ourselves out of bed. My allergies were ridiculous! I woke up with an awful headache and it didn't get better through the day. We called Super Target in Spring Hill looking for the Flip Cam Mino HD 8GB and luckily THEY HAD ONE! We got ready and headed south and picked up our new favorite toy. We went to several more stores while waiting on my parents to get into town. We met them at Lowe's (they're in the process of remodeling their house so they LOVE Lowe's) and after that rendezvous, all 4 of us went to eat at Olive Garden. The fact that he's vegan and his diet is "limited" is definitely starting to wear on Mike, but I'm proud to say he's doing fantastic! I'm very very proud of him!

After that, we headed back home and I started feeling sicker and sicker. We laid in bed, watched 2 episodes of Felicity, played endless games on our iPhones and finally drug ourselves out at 6pm to go sell a phone of his he posted on CraigsList. On our way back home I was feeling feverish, had a migraine, felt nauseous, etc etc, so I called Angie (the other bartender at work) and asked her if Kim could fill my spot. Luckily the bar was dead (yet again!) so she said I could just call out and I wasn't even needed so it was okay. So luckily I got to rest, feel better, etc, and not lose TOO much money. Mike and I went to his house in West Nashville for a quick trip to ensure that his water pipes hadn't frozen. We went to Kroger afterwards and got stuff for dinner and we cooked vegan pancakes at 11pm. They were yummy so I'll post the recipe soon!

Today we woke up and headed over here, researched programs at schools in NYC for him (how exciting! He's planning on making the big move with me next year when I permanently relocate to NYC!), we planned out how we're going to go about this, what we need to do, etc etc etc! It's an inspiring thing to think/talk about because it's my future! Hunter College is looking like it's going to be the winning institution so keep your fingers crossed for us!

This is my silly "Mad Hatter" outfit (so says my friend, Brandon). Most of these pieces are a few years old but whatever.

Outfit Details:
Dress: Charlotte Russe (3 years old) $30
Cardigan: Forever 21 $25
Tights: (I'm wearing 2 pairs! It's cold!) WalMart $10
Flats: Walmart $9
Knit Beret: Forever 21 $12
Scarf as Bow: Forever 21 $8

Phew! Bout time I finished this colossal post! If you have Words With Friends on your iPhone, challenge Mike or Myself! (We're both not great but whatever! It's fun!)

His Username: miikeflynn
My Username: kaelahbee

Happy Sunday! I hope you all have an amazing week!
