I'm excited to be back on the Wedding Wednesday wagon after a brief hiatus due to sickness. The very last thing I wanted to think about was blogging to be honest. When I did the blog survey I had three [!!!] people say Wedding Wednesday was their least favorite feature and while I'm sorry you feel that way [I can't imagine why! Who doesn't love beautiful weddings?!], it is a feature I'll probably never let go. There is something undeniably magical about weddings and love and relationships.. I just can't bear to stop posting them! BUT I am going to attempt to find more off-the-trail weddings that aren't posted everywhere so maybe there will be variety... also... I'm expanding on Wedding Wednesdays! That's right: I'm opening them up for submissions! This is something I've wanted to do from the very beginning, but I just did not have the time to sort through them and all that jazz. But now that I'm graduated, I can spare a bit more time on them and make them magical! I want you to be able to share your big day or engagement photos, etc. I want to hear your story!
With that being said, I simply cannot post every submission I get. That should go without saying. I've received upwards of 30 emails in the past about featuring people's weddings and while they've all been beautiful, they don't all fit the LCH theme. I post the weddings I do because they inspire me. I'm driven by whimsical colors and DIYs and slightly untraditional weddings. That's not to say traditional, church, catered weddings can't be beautiful... they definitely are! They just don't fit the overall criteria I tend to look for. I want to share weddings that inspire you to get your hands dirty. DIY things and make it your own! I want to share the not-so pretty side too. The budget and the stress and how other brides have dealt with disappointment or overbearing family members on their big day. While it is a huge, beautiful, exciting day, it's also stressful! It's important to know that you're not alone when you're crying in your dress 15 minutes before you walk down the aisle because your hair isn't "just perfect"... hearing how other brides have handled these moments can make us all feel better about the inevitable stress we will face!
SO! I will now be accepting Wedding Wednesday submissions by email via kaelahbee@gmail.com! Be sure to title the email with "Wedding Wednesday Submission" and feel free to send 10-15 [resized, low resolution!!!] images along with what made your day so special. You can include DIY things you did, things that went wrong, why you chose to do what you did, the location, etc etc etc. The more information you include, the better! I have a general set of questions I can send if your wedding is chosen that way you can elaborate on things to give everyone else a better understanding of your big day! I'd prefer if you zipped up the images in a .zip file or sent me links to each individual picture! They're just way easier for me to download that way!
I'm so so so very excited to open up my favorite feature to my favorite people: my readers! I can't wait to see how you celebrated your big day or some of your gorgeous engagement photos! Please do email me! I want to see them all! Please don't be upset if your feature isn't chosen.. I'm going to make each wedding a folder on my computer and I'm going to stock up! Just because it isn't chosen for next week doesn't mean it won't be chosen for next month or something!
Anyway, here are some of my favorite photos courtesy of Jagger Photography from this year!
You'll be seeing a lot more from this wedding power couple on the blog! I just can't get enough of them!
Okay! Now go round up your pictures, wives and wives-to-be! I want to see them! xo
